Tapestry of Kenya Tours and Safaris offers a wide range of safari experiences, including game drives, boating and Lake adventures, cultural tours, Safari lodge stays and luxury tented camps experiences. We cover various destinations across Kenya, each offering unique landscapes, wildlife, and cultural experiences.

Yes, Tapestry of Kenya Tours and Safaris specializes in tailor-made safari packages, allowing travelers to customize their itineraries based on their interests, budget, and preferred travel dates. However, our pre-set Itineraries are curated to capture the most popular and scenic areas of Kenya.

Travelers can expect to see a diverse array of wildlife during their safari, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), as well as giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and various bird species. The best time to visit depends on the specific destination and the wildlife migration patterns, with different seasons offering unique opportunities for wildlife sightings.

Tapestry of Kenya Tours and Safaris partners with a selection of lodges, tented camps, and luxury resorts across Kenya, offering  the highest quality and comfortable accommodations with amenities such as en-suite bathrooms, dining facilities, and swimming pools.

The safari guides employed by Tapestry of Kenya Tours and Safaris are highly experienced and knowledgeable about the local wildlife, ecosystems, and cultural heritage. They are proficient in English and often speak other languages, including Swahili.

Tapestry of Kenya is a fully registered and insured travel operator.  We prioritize the safety and well-being of our visitors, with trained guides who implement safety protocols during wildlife encounters and are trained to provide first aid in case of emergencies. 

Transportation during the safari is typically provided in comfortable safari SUV vehicles equipped with pop-up roofs for optimal game viewing as well plenty of drinking water. 

Safari packages include meals and beverages with options for accommodating dietary restrictions or preferences upon request.  However there are a few exclusions, these include:

  • Breakfast on the first day or day of pick-up
  • Dinner on the final day or day of Drop-off
  • Drinks, including water during meals at the Safari lodges (However plenty of drinking water will be available in the safari vehicles and in your safari lodge suites)

In addition to game drives and wildlife viewing, travelers can engage in various optional activities such as hot air balloon safaris, bush walks, visits to traditional maasai villages, and cultural experiences. We are committed to bringing you the most value to your adventure, if you are interested in any of these additional activities, just ask!

While not guaranteed, most of our safari accommodations have Wi-Fi. However, due to the need for a generator, electricity times usually have a set schedule.

Absolutely! Please let us know as soon as possible, and we will ensure that your tour is made aware of any dietary restrictions. Every effort will be made to provide you with a wonderful culinary experience based on your dietary requirements.

As soon as you know you want to go on a safari! The sooner you book, the more availability there will be for your desired dates, locations, and itineraries. Additionally, booking within 60 days of departure may result in higher booking deposits.

Most ATM cards will work with Kenyan Bank ATM machines. However, we recommend bringing enough cash to cover the cost of souvenir shopping and unexpected expenses, as access to ATMs may vary.

Most homeland medical insurance does not cover medical care in foreign countries. Purchasing travel medical insurance and attaining coverage for unforeseen circumstances can contribute to a stress-free stay and visit.

No, however, we will make every effort to obtain an interpreter that can speak the language you require. Most tour guides speak English and Swahili.

Yes, Kenya requires a travel Visa, formally called an “Electronic Travel Authorization” or eTA. These must be obtained prior to your arrival in Kenya but are convenient to acquire online. We recommend applying for these as early as possible.

Yes, but this must be arranged at least 60 days from departure. We specialize in customizing your adventure based on your desires and needs. However, our pre-set curated itineraries are designed to help you make the most of your time and to view the most popular and scenic locations on your tour.

All safari packages include pick-up from your hotel or airport, all local transportation with experienced and dedicated driver and tour guide, all accommodations, and most meals. Drinking water on the game drives is provided. Note that most drinks and water during meals at the restaurants are available for a charge.

Aside from your normal packing items like clothing and toiletries, you definitely want to bring your smartphone or camera to capture the amazing photos that await! We also recommend bringing a plug-in voltage adaptor for East Africa Type BS-1363. Other items to consider include a sun-blocking hat, sunglasses, sunblock lotion, binoculars, and any necessary medications.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the tour price is required on confirmation, if made more than 90 days before the departure of the tour. Balance of payment is required 60 days prior to departure or on the date stipulated on the invoice. If the reservation is made within 60 days of the departure date of the tour, full payment for the tour is required.

 

Cancellations: Cancellations must be made in writing and will become effective on the date of receipt by Tapestry of Kenya. Cancellation & Amendments by passenger/s: Charges are based on the full price of the tour and apply as follows:

 

  1. Cancellation between confirmation and 60 days prior to arrival date before Peak Season July 2021: The booking can be canceled without penalty.

 

  1. Cancellation between 60 days and 30 days prior to arrival A Credit Note will be issued against the agent name/Client, which may be utilized within 12 months from the arrival date.

 

  1. Cancellation between 30 days and 15 days prior to arrival: 75% of the total booking amount will be forfeited.

 

  1. Cancellation between 15 says and arrival or cancellation during travel or stay : 100% of total booking value will be forfeited
